People with Level 1 Autism (and the former diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome) often bring valuable strengths to the workplace, while also facing challenges that can affect their work experience in both positive and negative ways.
Please join therapist Michael Pinkerton, LMFT and Living Skills Director at Integrated Community Services (ICS), as he shares insights from his work counseling individuals on navigating the workplace. This discussion will explore both challenges and successes, including:
– Some difficulties faced by people with Autism in the workplace
– Real-life examples and stories of people’s experiences
– Practical strategies and tips for maintaining employment
– Dignity of risk and “failing forward”” – and how these concepts can encourage growth toward successful long-term employment
Whether you’re a self-advocate who is working or exploring employment, or a parent or professional supporting a loved one or client, this webinar offers welcoming information and supportive resources focused on individuals with Level 1 Autism building success in the workplace.
This webinar will provide live Spanish interpretation.
