Presenter:

Noe Lopez, Behavior Specialist - Morgan Autism Center

Presented in English with live simultaneous Spanish interpretation

Children with autism may engage in aggression, self-injurious behavior (SIB), and / or elopement as a way to communicate unmet needs, feelings, or sensory overwhelm. Attendees will also learn the components of a clear, compassionate crisis plan to support both the child and the adults caring for them.

In this webinar, you will learn how to:

●Understand the main triggers for aggression, self-injury, and elopement,

●Identify early warning signs and prevent situations from escalating,

●Safely de-escalate behaviors while protecting the child and those around them,

●Access tools that can prevent / reduce incidents, and how to create a crisis plan
